Kurukshetra: The one week online workshop (e-workshop) on ‘Applications of ANSYS in Engineering: Basics to Advanced’ (AAE-2024) concluded with a valedictory session held by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra on Tuesday. More than 100 participants attended the online workshop from various states. Industrial professionals also took part in the event. The workshop saw various technical sessions conducted by resourcepersons from the ANSYS team. Discussions were focussed on the different aspects and engineering applications of ANSYS software such as ‘Basic Introduction to Ansys and Its tools’, ‘Geometric Modelling and repairment using Spaceclaim’, ‘Introduction to Meshing, Global and local Mesh Method’, ‘Introduction to Battery and Ansys Capabilities for Battery and BMS’ etc.
NSS unit celebrates pravesh utsav
Karnal: In an initiative to promote environmental conservation and good-living, the NSS units of Dyal Singh College, Karnal, celebrated pravesh utsav as prakriti mahotsav by distributing saplings to new students. The programme, organised at the college campus, was aimed at inculcating a sense of responsibility towards nature among the students. The distribution drive was inaugurated by Principal Ashima Gakkhar, who emphasised the importance of planting trees to combat climate change and increase green cover. She said that the initiative not only welcomed our new students but encouraged them to actively contribute towards conserving the environment. The NSS volunteers also set up a help desk at the main gate to address any problems the new students might be facing. The programme saw enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members. Each new student was given a sapling and they pledged to nurture it. The plants included several indigenous species such as neem, peepal, gulmohar, tulsi, guava, jamun, litchi, which were selected for their benefits and adaptability to the local climate.
