Campus notes: Eye check-up camp organised

As part of the ongoing 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign, Dyal Singh College, Karnal, organised an eye check-up camp for the staff, students the local community. The college principal, Dr Ashima Gakhar, inaugurated the camp. She appreciated the efforts of the NSS unit and the medical team. Free-of-cost eye screenings were provided to 187 persons. The initiative was focused on raising awareness about the importance of eye health and early detection of vision problems.

Quiz held at women varsity

Sonepat: A quiz competition and voter's pledge programme was organised at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya (BPSMV) under the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative. The event was inaugurated by the officiating registrar, Professor Shweta Singh. She called upon the students to motivate their family members and people around them to exercise their right to vote. The voter's pledge was also administered to the faculty members and students. The students also participated in the quiz competition based on voter awareness.

JCD Vidyapeeth students excel in exams

Sirsa: Students of the BEd (General) second year at Jan Nayak Choudhary Devi Lal Vidyapeeth (JCD) Vidyapeeth, Sirsa, have excelled in their exams, bringing pride to their families and the institution. Dr Jaiprakash, the director and principal, congratulated the students and commended the faculty for their guidance in helping students achieve success. He emphasised the institution's commitment to providing quality education while preparing students to excel in various fields. To enhance learning, experts are frequently invited to engage with students. He highlighted the role of education in developing responsible individuals who contribute positively to society and stressed the importance of community awareness and voluntary service. Moreover, he discussed the significance of moral values and ethics as foundational to personal development, enabling individuals to differentiate between right and wrong. He underlined that education should go hand-in-hand with moral empowerment, urging students to maintain a balance between the two. The goal is to cultivate ideal citizens who not only possess knowledge but also apply it in socially beneficial ways.
