Hisar: The psychology department's first aid cell and the physical education department of Government College for Women in Hisar, in collaboration with Tata 1MG Lab, organised a one-day health check-up camp at the college. The camp was inaugurated by Principal Dr Satbir Singh Sanga. Dr Randhir Singh, in-charge of the first aid cell, was also present at the event. Addressing the gathering, Dr Sanga said regular health check-ups was important for all. He stated that timely health checkups could help detect diseases early, enabling preventive measures and necessary lifestyle changes. Vice-principal Dr Eliza Kundu also encouraged everyone to lead a healthy lifestyle. Singh said 55 teachers, non-teaching staff and students participated at the camp and got the blood tests done. The camp was initiative to raise awareness about health and promote the habit of timely health checkups, the Principal said.
NSS camp at Bhiwani govt school
Bhiwani: A three-day NSS camp was held at PM Shri Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Bhiwani.During the ongoing seven-day NSS camp, a retired official from the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Rajeev Sharma, shared valuable tips for success in life with the volunteers. He stressed that children today could achieve success by utilising their energy. There is no shortcut to success; faith in hard work is essential to reach one's goal. He also advised them to reduce mobile phone usage and focus on developing new skills. On the occasion, the volunteers prepared slogans and paintings on road safety as part of the drug-free campaign.
Scholarship initiative at alumni meet
Hisar: A meeting of the executive council of the Alumni Association was held at Government College, Hisar, on Sunday. Members discussed about providing scholarships to needy students of the college. During the meeting, scholarships for approximately 30 students were collected on the spot. Prominent attendees of the meeting included Principal Dr Vivek Saini, Guggan Ram Godara, Ram Pratap Jangra, Surender Bajiya, Rajender Sevata, Praveen Bishnoi, Satender Singh, Manoj Kumar, and Jagmender Singh, among others.
