Campus notes: Integration of processes on portal
Hisar: The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, is set to achieve a transformative milestone by integrating all academic, administrative and examination processes into its ERP portal, says the Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi. He emphasised the institution’s commitment to becoming a leader in academic quality, research and innovation this year. Highlighting the advancements, he announced the launch of AI-driven courses under NEP-2020, increased admissions in UG and PG programmes, and enhanced digital infrastructure for paperless operations. Ranked among the top universities globally, GJUST is also focusing on yoga, meditation and traditional knowledge systems, he said.
Tributes paid to Dr Manmohan Singh
Yamunanagar: Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, organised a two-minute silence today to pay tributes to the departed soul of Dr Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India. The college community gathered to honour his contributions to the nation and to pray for his eternal peace. Dr Pratima Sharma, Officiating Principal of the college, expressed her deep sorrow and highlighted that Dr Manmohan Singh was not only a visionary leader but also a symbol of humility, integrity and wisdom. The two-minute silence was observed by teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college, who gathered together in a show of respect and solidarity. Their presence reflected the collective admiration and reverence for the late leader. Randeep Singh Jauhar, president of the governing body and managing committee of Guru Nanak Khalsa College highlighted that Dr Manmohan’s contributions to the country, especially in the areas of economic reform, would be remembered forever. Good jobs at Murthal varsity in 2024
Sonepat: Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, saw bumper placements of students in the year 2024. As many as 34 companies selected 280 students during campus placements. The selected students will get an annual package of up to Rs 9 lakh. Vice-Chancellor Prakash Singh congratulated the selected students and wished them a bright future. He said the university always strived to provide employment to the maximum number of students during their studies so that they could contribute significantly in making the family, society, state and nation self-reliant. He said that campus placements were held from time to time by the Training and Placement Cell of the university. Those who were placed included 111 students who passed out in 2024 and 169 students who passed out in 2025.
