CAMPUS notes: Moot court contest

Rohtak: A two-day intra-department moot court competition was organised at the Law Department of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU). Dr KPS Mahalwar, a former professor at the department, who was the keynote speaker, said such events provide a perfect platform for law students to hone their legal acumen and advocacy skills. Moot court contests also provide practical experience of court proceedings, he added. Dr Jitender Dhull, chairman of the Law Department, appreciated the participants.

3,200 appear for screening test

Kurukshetra: Nearly 3,200 students appeared in the level 1 screening test for Mission Buniyaad in Kurukshetra. Dr Tarsem Kaushik, nodal officer for the Haryana Pratibha Khoj programme in the district, said Mission Buniyaad is an ambitious scheme of the government to prepare students of government school for competitive exams such as NEET and NDA.

Kabaddi players honoured

Kaithal: Jat College, Kaithal, students Bulbul and Moniya were honoured for their good performance in kabaddi during the North-Zonal All-India Inter University Kabaddi Championship (Girls) 2024 organised at Kashi University in Talwandi Sabo. Both students represented Kurukshetra University. The students were accorded a warm welcome upon their return to the college by Principal Chandrashekhar Saharan and the staff members of the Physical Education Department.
