Campus notes: Ozone Day celebrated
Karnal: Dyal Singh College, Karnal, organised an awareness programme on World Ozone Day. The event aimed at raising awareness about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and encouraging collective action for a sustainable future. The students of BSc Life Sciences staged a street-play based on the theme ‘Protecting the Ozone Layer: Our Collective Responsibility’. Principal Ashima Gakhar emphasised the significance of protecting the ozone layer and urged the students to work together to create a greener and healthier planet. The event concluded with a pledge ceremony.
NSS orientation programme
Kaithal: The NSS unit of RKSD College, Kaithal, hosted an orientation programme, at which the community service initiatives of the new academic session were unveiled. NSS Programme Officer Sanjay Garg welcomed 150 new volunteers. He outlined the NSS objectives and told the volunteers about the importance of community service. Principal Sanjay Goyal emphasised the advantages of joining the NSS. The programme aimed to inspire volunteers to engage in meaningful community service, fostering social responsibility and nation-building.
