Campus notes: Pupils bring laurels to school
Yamunanagar: Students of Swaraj Public School, Damla, bagged various prizes at the Inter-Mukand Story Narration Competition held at Mukand Lal Public School. The students showcased their exceptional talent, bringing laurels to the school in both English and Hindi story narration categories. In the English category, Navya secured the first position, followed by Yatika and Arpita in the second spot, and Aavya got the third position. Aanya, Kumud, and Aelish received consolation prizes in the open entry and Grade II categories. Suhani and Himanshi got consolation prizes in the grade IV category. Other notable winners included Avya, Aanya, and Manvi. In the Hindi category, Revansh and Garvik Kamboj won third prizes, while Garvita received a consolation prize. Aarna secured the second position, and Lagan got a consolation prize. Principal Jyoti Nagpal Sethi congratulated the students, parents, and teachers on this remarkable achievement, appreciating their dedication and hard work.
Students take out awareness rally
Panipat: Under the AIDS control awareness campaign, which is being celebrated this month, medical students of NC Medical College Israna organised a rally in Bandh village, in which they carried banners and spread awareness among villagers about Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Under the guidance of the principal of the institute, Major General Dr PK Singh, with the cooperation of Dr Kamaljit Singh, Professor and Head of Community Medicine Department, such awareness activities in the field are being carried out from time to time. The event received good support from Dr Jagdish Nagar, Community Health Officer (CHO) of Bandh village, in the presence of health workers, ASHA workers, and villagers. Dr Himani shared detailed information about the cause of AIDS and its prevention at the sub health centre.
