Students of the English Department at Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, continue to excel and bring glory to the institution. This time, Himanshu, a student of MA English, secured third position in the National Level Poetry Writing Competition organised by Hindu Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jind. Officiating Principal Dr Anil Dhawan and Head of Department Dr Sumita Kanwar congratulated Himanshu on his achievement and encouraged him to participate in similar activities in the future to further his creative pursuits.
Health services by medical college
Panipat: The NC Medical College, Israna, managed by the Smt Shanti Devi Charitable Trust, has initiated specialist medical services at its Rural Health Training Centre in Adhiyana to provide accessible healthcare to nearby villagers. Under the guidance of Dr PK Singh, principal of the institution, and with the approval of the management, these new services aim to address various medical needs. According to Dr Kamaljit Singh, Head of the Community Medicine Department, specialist consultations with physicians, pediatricians, and gynaecologists will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while surgeons, orthopedics, and ophthalmologists will attend to patients on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The centre will also offer free OPD consultations, a free ambulance service for patients from nearby villages, affordable laboratory tests, medicines, and minor surgeries. Advanced diagnostic services, including ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI, will be provided at subsidised rates at the NC Medical College and Hospital in Israna.
