Yamunanagar: The TDTR DAV Institute of Physiotherapy, Yamunanagar, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) and IAP (Women Cell), celebrated the World Physiotherapy Day with creative poster-making and best-out-of-waste model-making competitions. The posters highlighted the benefits of physiotherapy in preventing falls, enhancing mobility, managing chronic conditions and improving overall quality of life for the elderly. In his keynote address, Himanshu Sekhar, the officiating principal of the institute, emphasised the growing need for physiotherapeutic interventions as a solution to many of the challenges faced by the ageing populations.

Investiture ceremony organised

Yamunanagar: Guru Nanak Khalsa College hosted the investiture ceremony of the newly constituted student council for the academic session 2024-25. The new student council is led by Bhavya from MCom as the president, Robin Singh from BPEd as the vice-president, Gaurav from MCom as the secretary and Tannu from BA as the joint secretary. The six captains include Chavi and Sneha from MSc (BioTech), Rajan and Sapna from BEd, Aarti from BPEd and Vanshika from MSc (Maths). Principal Harinder Singh Kang congratulated the newly elected members of the council.

Seminar on cyber security

Kaithal: The NSS cell of RKSD College, Kaithal, organised a seminar on cyber security to educate the students and faculty about the importance of digital safety in today's technology-driven world. College principal Sanjay Goyal said Matish from the computer department of the college was the main speaker. He spoke on the emerging cyber threats, data protection, online privacy, responsible digital citizenship and essential cyber security tools.
