As campaigning for the Sonepat mayoral bypoll ended on Friday, the candidates and their supporters left no stone unturned to woo the voters.

Notably, Jain is an experienced player in the political field and stalwart leaders of the party, including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and BJP’s state Chief Mohan Lal Badoli held a mega roadshow.
Apart from them, Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Deputy Speaker Krishan Midha, BJP’s national general secretary OP Dhankar and other senior party functionaries also held meetings in support of Jain. MLA Nikhil Madaan, MLA Gannaur Devender Kadyan, former Minister Kavita Jain, BJP district president Jasbir Dodwa held several meetings with the people.
To woo the voters, the BJP has given a triple-engine government slogan and released an 18 points visionary agenda for overall development of Sonepat. Jain held public meetings at Shri Ram Sharma Park, MC Market, 8-marla, Raunak Garden, Kalupur Chungi, Idgah Road, Mayur Vihar and Ambedkar Colony.
Similarly, Congress’ Diwan held rounds of public meetings and door to door campaigns in a final push.
Diwan met passengers at Sonepat railway station early in the morning and held a ‘padyatra’ from Mission Chowk to Kalupur Chungi. He also held meetings in Dahiy Colony, Kakroi Road, Bahalgarh and in the industrial area with the residents.
