During a meeting with political party representatives at his office, Sangal highlighted the Election Commission’s guidelines for the Assembly elections. He stated that the candidates must be at least 25 years old and registered in the current state voter list. Additionally, the name of the proposer must be listed in the voter’s roll of the candidate’s constituency.

The security deposit for general category candidates is set at Rs 10,000, while for Scheduled Caste candidates, it is Rs 5,000.

Sangal also emphasised that no individual, political party or candidate is allowed to place posters, flags, banners, wall paintings, or any other promotional material on private or government property. Defacing property is illegal and will result in strict action. Prior permission is required for the use of microphones and loudspeakers.
