‘Go for cardless weddings’

  • Rao Narbir, who is contesting from Badshahpur, has highlighted environment as his key priority and urged voters to opt for cardless weddings.
  • He says it is a common notion in their area, specifically Ahirwal and south Haryana, that people won’t come if they don’t get the paper card. He himself sent e-invites for his children’s weddings, Narbir adds.

He said during his tenure from 2014 to 19, they had managed to not just conserve Aravallis but even revive many lost parts.

“The situation is not good today. People keep sending me messages about Aravallis being turned into a malba ground. It all has happened due to connivance of officials and illegal dumping and construction mafia. We cannot afford to lose Aravallis or the city will vanish. I accept that mistakes were made. Though intent was good, execution did lack. I promise once in power will we have a new practical plan to reverse the damage done in last five years,” said Narbir.

Reacting to Bandhwari landfill toxifying the forest and villages nearby, Narbir said he would also get the waste hill removed within three months after getting elected.

“This is man-made problem. To be specific, officials made the problem. The moment I get elected Bandhwari will be priority. We will take all those to task who have put the city through this and get trained people to deal with waste management in city. Environment protection will be key. Civic officials gave the city this mountain. I will remove it in record time,” said the Badshahpur nominee.
