Congress candidate and outgoing Rewari MLA Chiranjeev Rao’s father Capt Ajay Singh Yadav, an Ahir stalwart and national president of OBC Department of the Congress, is out in the field to campaign for his son.
Besides flagging civic and other issues haunting the general public, Yadav, a six-time former MLA, is accusing the BJP government and its leaders of spreading corruption during his poll meetings.
“Corruption was at its peak during the BJP government in the past decade, exposing its slogan of zero corruption and good governance. A bypass road built during the BJP rule has started smelling of corruption as it has damaged from many places, indicating that materials of inferior quality were used in the construction,” Yadav said while addressing a poll meeting today.
The former minister said, “The BJP government should tell the people how the bypass road got damaged so quickly? At some places patch work was being done and at other places the road was being carpeted again. In this way, public money was being wasted, but would anyone tell why such inferior quality material was used? Which company was given the tender?”
He said the BJP government had harassed people a lot in the past decade hence they had made up their mind to oust it from power this time and to bring the Congress back to power in the state.
