“Acting swiftly, my three colleagues and I started checking vehicles coming from Rohtak. We tried to stop a black Scorpio but the driver tried to run me over. They had to stop the vehicle owing to the toll plaza ahead. Two youths got out of it. When I went to them, one of them pointed a pistol at me. The pistol fell down as I hit it with my hand,” said Tarun.

He complained that the two youths ran and boarded the vehicle and drove off towards Jhajjar while the pistol was left at the spot. There were four to five men in the Scorpio, who first tried to run the car over me and later pointed a pistol at me with an intention to kill me, he added.
