Cash award for sports stars; apply by Aug 15

The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Haryana, has invited applications for awarding cash prizes to the sportspersons who have participated or won medals in national and international sports competitions from January 1, 2019, to March 31, 2020.

The players who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply for the cash prizes by August 15 at the office of District Sports and Youth Affairs Officer concerned.

Giving information about the same, an official spokesperson said the application should be submitted in the prescribed format. The participants will also have to enclose verified copies of the sports achievements along with the application.

He said the players should be a permanent resident of Haryana and the residence proof should also be attached with the application.

The spokesperson said the eligible players had to attach photo copies of the certificates regarding participation in the respective national and international competitions along with the application. Similarly, the bank account, IFSC code of the bank, copy of Aadhaar card and affidavit from first-class magistrate should also be attached with the application form.
