The crime came to light through CBI’s cyber monitoring and no complaint had been filed by the victims or their families prior to the registration of the case.

The CBI registered a case on May 29 on allegations that the accused was creating, possessing, collecting, exchanging and uploading CSAM in electronic form.

According to officials, the agency identified the presence of CSAM through Interpol’s International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database, along with tipline reports generated by Google and shared with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs.

Further analysis revealed that the material originated from Hisar and involved multiple child victims.
