CDLU biotech students shine in CSIR-JRF exam
Students from the Biotechnology Department of Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, have secured top ranks in the prestigious CSIR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination, earning national recognition for the university in the state.
According to the Dean of Academic Affairs and Head of the Biotechnology Department, five students achieved notable positions at the All-India level.
Karina Kadian (Batch 2022–24) topped the examination with All India Rank 1. Other successful candidates included Dr Pradeep Kumar (Batch 2009–11), who secured Rank 7; Anchal Godara (Batch 2023–25), Rank 43; Ekta (Batch 2019–21), Rank 61; and Ishu Phogat (Batch 2023–25), Rank 72.
Dr Gahlawat, Head of the Department, remarked that this success reflects the department’s strong emphasis on quality education, advanced research facilities, and student development. He added that the department remains committed to providing top-level academic support and expert mentorship to enable students to excel in national and international examinations.
Chaudhary Devi Lal University Vice-Chancellor Prof Vijay Kumar congratulated both the students and faculty, stating that this accomplishment enhances the university’s academic reputation and reaffirms its standing as a centre for science, research and innovation.
