On the occasion of Lohri festival, a special event called "Dheeyan Di Lohri" (daughters’ Lohri) was organised at Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), hosted jointly by the Punjabi department and the journalism & mass communication department. Students, dressed in traditional attire, welcomed the chief guest, Dr Rajesh Kumar Bansal, the University’s Registrar, with a vibrant performance of gidda and bhangra.

The event began with Bansal lighting the Lohri fire, marking the start of the cultural celebration. The atmosphere was filled with energy as the students danced and celebrated, creating a lively festival mood on the campus.
