Chaudhary Devi Lal University’s (CDLU) University Centre for Outreach Programs and Extension (UCOP) conducted an awareness and training programme on cybersecurity under the ‘Cyber Safe India’ campaign on Saturday. UCOP Director Mohammad Kashif Kidwai said the initiative was organised under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi to educate university researchers and students about the emerging cyber threats and safety measures.

The keynote speaker, Gagandeep, a technical expert and university alumnus, delivered a lecture on various aspects of digital security. He emphasised the importance of making strong passwords, avoiding clicking on unknown links, and following essential cybersecurity practices. He also highlighted critical issues like digital arrest, juice jacking, phishing, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

Participants said the knowledge gained in the session would help them protect themselves, their families, and acquaintances from cyber threats. UCOP Additional Director Dr Sunil extended gratitude to all attendees. Over 100 students registered for the event.
