The Centre and the Haryana government will jointly set up a world class digital museum based on the epic Mahabharata and the Geeta at Jyotisar in Kurukshetra.
This was informed on Tuesday by Union Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel following his meeting with Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar.
Also, the Centre has approved Haryana government’s proposal for the second phase of the Krishna Circuit project in the state.
Patel said that the proposed museum would be modern and expansive, and would give boost to religious tourism in the state.
He lauded the state government for implementing the tourism projects promptly.
“The state has undertaken several projects through its own resources,” Patel said in appreciation of the state government.
After his meeting with Patel, Khattar said progress on works on other projects underway was reviewed.
Some of the projects discussed during the meeting include Adi Badri, Rakhigarhi, Science City, and issues relating to adventure tourism.
