The Commission Chairman, who had come to inspect an examination centre at Rohtak, maintained that the entire state had worked as a team to conduct the exam.

”Apart from the state authorities and police administration, numerous social and religious organisations have also helped in conducting the CET. I have been to four districts today and talked to many applicants and their parents. They were satisfied with the arrangements made for

the conduct of the exam,” he stated.

In response to a query, Singh said some people were stating that it would not be possible to conduct the exam smoothly and fairly in Rohtak and certain other districts, but they have been proven wrong.

”Rohtak is also a part of Haryana. We decided to conduct the exam here and exams will continue to be conducted in Rohtak. It is a matter of pride for the local residents,” he remarked.

Replying to another question, the Chairman stated that the CET web portal would be reopened after the exam as per the directions of the High Court.

”The applicants who had not mentioned their correct category would be able to do so when the portal is reopened,” he maintained.

Meanwhile, CET was conducted smoothly in the district, though the candidates and their parents had a tough time locating the examination centres amidst sultry weather and heavy traffic.

The local administrative and police officials deployed to ensure the fair and smooth conduct of the exam facilitated the candidates and helped them reach their respective examination centres in time.
