Checking, patrolling intensified in view of Republic Day

To maintain law and order and ensure public safety, in view of the Republic Day celebrations, the district police have intensified checking and patrolling at public places to avoid any untoward incident.

As per Kurukshetra police spokesman Naresh Kumar, all SHOs have been directed to keep a close watch in the district to ensure no untoward incident takes place during the Republic Day celebrations. Ample security arrangements have been made at crowded places, public places, bus stand, religious places, hotels and railway station.

He said Superintendent of Police Varun Singla had directed all supervisory officials and SHOs to coordinate with the owners/managers of hotels, dharmashalas and resorts located in their respective police station jurisdiction. Security has been increased at the Republic Day event venue as well and all roads leading to the venue. There will be a complete ban on flying drones and gliders at the venue and other important places.
