Yamunanagar, July 18

The police have registered a case against the owner of a chemical factory after it was found running without obtaining requisite permissions from the Haryana Fire and Emergency Services Department.

This action was taken after a fire broke out in Rukand Oil and Petro-Chemicals, situated in Khundewala village, last week.

An FIR was registered against factory owner Gautam Garg under Sections 287, 125, 125 (A) and 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Chhappar police station of the district.

According to information, a fire broke out in this factory on July 13, damaging chemicals and other goods and also affected the crop of a farmer in a neighbouring agricultural field. Besides, a canter driver inside the factory sustained burn injuries on one foot.

When the police sought information regarding the necessary permissions from the Haryana Fire and Emergency Services Department, the authorities told the police that the no-objection certificate (NOC) was not obtained from the department.
