According to the police, the victim is a student of a government school who had befriended the two accused, identified as Lakshya and Ankit, on the social media platform approximately two months ago.

The horrifying incident came to light through a complaint filed by the girl’s father. He said his daughter left for tuition at 4:30 pm but did not return by 6:30 pm. Upon going to the centre, he discovered she had never arrived.

“It was around 8:00pm, she reached home in a scary condition and was crying badly. On asking, she revealed that when she was on her way to tuition centre, her two known youths Lakshya and Ankit came in the middle of the road in a black car. They took her in the car on the pretext of dropping her off at the tuition centre, even though she had repeatedly refused," the father said in his complaint.

As per the complaint, the accused then drove her to a secluded area in the hills, where both of them raped her. “After this, they threw her from their car near my home and fled away,” the father said.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Shivaji Nagar police station against Lakshya and Ankit under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Confirming the action, Inspector Devender Kumar, SHO of Shivaji Nagar police station, said, “After the medical examination of the victim, an FIR was registered and a further probe is underway. The accused are being said to be students also. We are conducting raids and they will be arrested as soon as possible.” An investigation is currently underway.
