Class XI student consumes chemical substance at school
A Class XI girl at a government school consumed a chemical substance during recess, leading to a medical emergency. She was initially admitted to the Civil Hospital, then transferred to a private hospital by her parents for further treatment.
The incident occurred after the school reopened following the air pollution-related break. The girl, enrolled in the non-medical stream, reportedly brought the chemical in a cold drink bottle. Upon deteriorating health, her classmates alerted teachers, and the school principal promptly took action. The police have begun an investigation; however, no formal complaint has been filed yet. The exact substance and reason for the incident are still under investigation.
Satish Vats, DSP, Headquarter said that investigation into the matter is underway, but no complaint has been received so far. The girl is also under treatment and her statement was also not recorded so far, the DSP asserted.
