Cleanliness, plastic-free drive held at Gurugram village

A special cleanliness campaign was conducted on Sunday at Kherki village under the joint auspices of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) and the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram (MCG). This was led by Additional Commissioner Ravinder Yadav of the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram.

During the campaign, an awareness drive against plastic bags was conducted, and storm water drains were cleaned, with an aim to make the area clean and environment friendly.

Regional Officer Siddharth Bhargav of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board sensitised the villagers about the importance of avoiding the use of plastic, maintaining cleanliness and not obstructing the drainage system. He said public participation was essential for a clean and healthy environment. He added that the Haryana State Pollution Control Board and the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, would continue to conduct such joint campaigns in future until the set targets were achieved.
