The clerk, identified as Sukhwinder Singh, is accused of manipulating documents to forge school leaving certificates (SLCs) and academic records, jeopardising the students' futures and committing fraud with the Bhiwani Board.

According to Sirsa Police Superintendent Vikrant Bhushan, the case came to light after the Bhiwani Board lodged a complaint on September 30, 2022, regarding the forged certificates and fraudulent activities. Based on the complaint, a criminal case was registered at the City Police Station in Sirsa, and investigation was initiated.

The probe was later handed over to the CIA Sirsa Police, which got key clues in the matter. The accused clerk, Sukhwinder Singh, son of Ajayab Singh, was arrested. He had been working at the private school in Patli Dabar village and manipulated students' records.

It was revealed that Singh, driven by financial greed, had initially arranged for the students to obtain 10th-grade certificates from a private coaching institute. He then enrolled them in the private school in Patli Dabar, where he forged their character certificates and school leaving certificates.
