Clerk held in fake RC scam

The Special Investigation Team formed by Superintendent of Police, Yamunanagar, Kamaldeep Goyal to investigate the alleged scam of fake vehicle registration certificates has arrested a clerk in this regard.
Clerk Rajinder Kumar was on Friday produced before a district court in Jagadhri which remanded him in six-day police custody.
According to information, Rajinder Kumar worked as an RC clerk at SDM office, Jagadhri, in the past.
It is alleged that several fake RCs were made after tampering with vehicles’ engine and chassis numbers during his tenure.
The SIT headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jagadhri, Rajinder Singh had seized the record of vehicle registration certificates (RCs) at the SDM offices of Jagadhri and Bilaspur of Yamunanagar district on February 10.
