CM Flying Squad raids 2 service centres, seizes forged papers

In a crackdown on fraud, the CM Flying Squad conducted a raid on two Common Service Centres (CSC) in Banbhori village in Barwala subdivision of the district today and seized manipulated and forged documents.

The raiding team led by CM Flying Squad incharge Sunaina, raided the Pravesh CSC Centre and Maa Bhagwati Atal Seva Kendra, which were allegedly indulging in manipulating documents to facilitate ineligible individuals to avail benefits under old-age pension and other social security schemes.

Sources said that acting on a tip-off, the team inspected the Pravesh CSC Centre and the evidence of digital document-tampering was found. Several edited documents were recovered from the spot.

At Maa Bhagwati Atal Seva Kendra, the operator was found missing. The raiding team entered the premises and uncovered a large cache of documents including Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, school SLC proformas, fake school stamps and forged certificates belonging to residents from various districts including Hisar, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal and Rohtak.

Sources said that the seized documents indicated multi-district connections pointing to a larger and organised racket that could be operating across several regions of Haryana. The raid also brought to light the technical aspect of the fraud, where documents were being digitally edited to register ineligible persons under government welfare schemes, causing significant financial losses to the state.

CM Flying Squad incharge Sunaina confirmed that preliminary investigation revealed fraudulent activities and indicated the possibility of more startling findings in the coming days. The team seized computers, numerous ID cards, school certificates and various other documents from both centres.

A police complaint has been registered at Barwala police station.
