CM flying team inspects 3 illegal colony sites at Hansi, Hisar
No CLU had reportedly been obtained from government
Amid row over alleged booming illegal colonisation in some places in Hisar district, the CM flying squad, along with police and officials of the Town and Country Planning Department, inspected some sites in Hisar and Hansi towns today.
Sources said the team visited three locations for on-site investigation. The squad requisitioned complete records from the department concerned about the colonies.
The inspection team, led by squad (Hisar range) incharge Sunaina, was accompanied by field officers Sapna and Deepak Sharma, besides the police.
The team visited a location at Hansi, where a colony is being developed over several acres. According to information, hundreds of residential and commercial plots have already been demarcated there. No CLU had reportedly been obtained from the government, nor were prescribed regulations followed. The District Town Planner had also served a notice and displayed a board mentioning that the site was unauthorised.
The team later inspected two other colonies being developed at Hansi and Hisar.
The squad reportedly asked the Town and Country Planning Department to provide detailed records of the sites. The sources said a report would be prepared and sent to the government for further action.
Complaints about illegal colonies being carved out in the district have been consistently received by the authorities. The government has clearly stated that any colony developed without obtaining CLU and without following laid-down norms will invite strict action. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had issued directions to the Town and Country Department to take action against such colonies in Hisar while hearing a petition.
