Expressing concern over the deaths of elderly cows in gaushalas due to the severe cold, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed the chairman and all members of the Gau Seva Aayog to visit cow shelters across the state and assess the available facilities.

The Chief Minister emphasised the need for veterinary surgeons to be present at gaushalas to monitor the cows' health. He took note of recent cow deaths reported at a gaushala in Kaithal and issued strict instructions to address the issue.

“The chairman and members of the Gau Seva Aayog should also provide gaushala operators with information on the welfare schemes initiated by the Haryana Government. This will ensure that shelter operators can contribute to the cause effectively,” the Chief Minister said.

The inspections aim to ensure proper care for cows, particularly during the harsh winter, while promoting awareness of government initiatives for their welfare.
