Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today called on Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

Saini said preparations had been completed for implementation of three new criminal laws.

He said several important issues, including Keshau Dam, were discussed in detail with the Home Minister. In addition, Shah was apprised of the progress of various welfare schemes and development programmes being implemented in the state.

The CM said all necessary arrangements had been made for the CET examination, which would be held on July 26 and 27.

Saini said recruitment in the Haryana Police would be initiated soon. Directions had been issued to the officials concerned to complete all necessary preparations, he said.

Meanwhile, the CM said youngsters would play a big role in the future on the concluding day of inter-state youth exchange programme at Kurukshetra University.

Around 600 youths from 20 states and four Union Territories visited the university to showcase cultural heritage of their respective states.

Saini said, “The theme of the event ‘EK Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ is not only a slogan but it is a soul of the country. Participants from different states and UTs participated in the youth-exchange programme. We get opportunities to know about each other and learn about different cultures. Such small experiences bring big changes.”
