CM to distribute grants among 138 cow shelters in Sirsa on Aug 23

Will flag off anti-drug marathon in Dabwali

Chief Minister Nayab Saini will visit Shri Gaushala in Sirsa on August 23, to distribute grant cheques to cow shelters in the district. The event will be held on Saturday evening and attended by representatives from 138 gaushalas (cow shelters) along with other dignitaries.

In preparation for the event, Dr Prem Singh, Director General of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, and Dr Sukhwinder Singh Chauhan, Deputy Director, Sirsa, visited Shri Gaushala to check the arrangements. Different committees of officers and staff have been formed to manage the event.

Dr Brijlal Jangra, a member of the department’s committee, said the Director General held a detailed meeting with the management committee of Shri Gaushala on Thursday to review the preparations. After staying overnight in Sirsa on Saturday, CM Nayab Saini will visit Dabwali on Sunday morning. He will flag off an anti-drug marathon, which has already received over 50,000 online registrations from youth.
