CM to lay stone of Baba Sarsai Nath Medical College in Sirsa on Nov 21

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini is set to lay the foundation stone of Baba Sarsai Nath Medical College in Sirsa on November 21. Preparations are on in full swing, with Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sharma and SP Vikrant Bhushan inspecting the site on Monday.

The medical college will span 22 acres and is estimated to cost around Rs 1,000 crore. The CM will arrive in Sirsa via air and the foundation ceremony will begin at 10 am, followed by a public address. The construction is expected to be completed within two years.

According to the DC, the 500-bedded medical college will benefit the people of Sirsa and nearby areas within a 100-km radius. BJP leaders have been actively visiting the site to oversee arrangements, while the SP said that all necessary security measures were being implemented for the CM’s visit.

The medical college will feature departments like anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, and community medicine. Additionally, specialised units such as emergency medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, psychiatry, general surgery, respiratory medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, obstetrics, gynecology, burn care, ICUs, neonatal wards and private rooms will be included.

The establishment of this state-of-the-art facility is expected to enhance healthcare accessibility and infrastructure in the region.
