Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda today demanded compensation for farmers and traders, who had bought DAP at high prices.
He said there was chaos and confusion on the issue as the government first increased the prices of DAP and then announced a rollback.
“A large number of farmers and shopkeepers have had bought fertilisers at inflated prices. On the one hand, the BJP-JJP government kept saying that the prices would not be increased while on the other hand, fertiliser continued to be sold at increased prices in the market,” he said.
