Complete development works in phased manner: Rana to officials
Orders stricter inspections, quality checks; approves aid for Persons with Disabilities
Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) in Yamunanagar and reviewed ongoing development projects. He directed officials to ensure that all works were completed in a phased and time-bound manner.
Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora was also present at the meeting.
The Minister instructed departments to finish all pending works by November 30 and to conduct regular inspections and quality checks of construction materials. He stressed the need for full and timely utilisation of the budget allotted for the welfare of farmers and the general public, ensuring that no funds lapse.
During the meeting, Rana approved Rs 5 lakh for the Red Cross Society to distribute tricycles, artificial limbs and hearing aids to eligible registered Persons with Disabilities.
He further asked officials to submit Utilisation Certificates (UCs) for the development works completed so far, enabling the government to launch the next phase of projects without delay. Officers of all departments, he said, must take all necessary steps to effectively implement state government policies and schemes so the public receives maximum benefit.
“Whatever support is required, the government is ready to provide,” said Minister Rana.
According to officials, the District Mineral Foundation works for the welfare of persons and areas affected by mining-related activities, as prescribed by the state government.
Assistant Mining Engineer Dr Rajesh Kumar, DDPO Narinder Singh, Mining Inspector Rohit Rana, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar and other officials attended the meeting.
