BJP national secretary and former minister Om Prakash Dhankar launched a blistering attack on the Congress party, stating that it was heading towards extinction as people across the country continued to reject it in every election. Referring to the recent civic body elections, Dhankar pointed out that the Congress failed to open its account statewide, highlighting its diminishing influence.
Dhankar made these remarks while addressing the media on the occasion of newly elected Beri Municipal Committee president Devender, alias Billu Pehlwan, assuming office in Beri town on Thursday.
“Just as the people of Beri have elected the Chairman and councillors in the urban local body elections, the next MLA from Beri will be from the BJP. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Haryana, the BJP governments are performing commendable work. Similarly, the urban government in Beri, with the support of the people, will accelerate development work threefold," Dhankar said.
During the event, Dhankar inaugurated two tractor tankers, four e-rickshaws and one ambulance, which were dedicated to the people of Beri by the newly elected Chairman. Earlier, he was warmly welcomed by the Municipal Committee chief, who presented him with flower garlands and bouquets, on reaching Beri.
