Speaking on the occasion, Asha said it was the duty of a public representative to understand the pain of the people and solve it, but ministers and MLAs of the BJP had failed in fulfilling this responsibility despite remaining in power for a decade.

Sharing the political journey of her husband, Asha said from the year 1990 to 2024, Bhupinder Singh Hooda has continuously been struggling for the betterment and welfare of every section of the society and for overall development of the state.

Rohtak has made a huge contribution in this struggle. There was a time when Rohtak was not counted among developed cities but when the Congress government was formed in 2005, Rohtak got its rights. It has always been our endeavour to maintain social harmony and brotherhood as it is imperative for the progress of society,” she said.

Asha further said, “The prevailed political atmosphere in the state indicates that a Congress government will be formed.”

Local MLA Batra said Bhupinder Singh Hooda was one of the leaders who had become a leader through struggle. “Hooda not only developed Haryana but also gave it a new look. Whether it is about laying a network of roads, setting up power plants, industry or providing employment, the Hooda government did tremendous work. On the contrary, the BJP government ruined the state,” said the MLA.

Batra claimed that the BJP government had forced the people to drink dirty water. “We will provide clean drinking water to the people of Rohtak city as soon as the Congress government is formed in the city,” he said.
