Shalley Chaudhary will be contesting for the second time. Mewa Singh is contesting against Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Indian National Lok Dal’s former MLA Sher Singh Barshami.

The Naraingarh constituency has been a citadel of the Congress as the grand old party has won Naraingarh segment six times since 1967, while the BJP has won once. In the 2019 Assembly elections, Shalley Chaudhary, wife of former MLA and working president Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Ramkishan Gujjar, had won her first ever election by defeating BJP’s Surinder Singh Rana by a comfortable margin of 20,600 votes.

We have been getting tremendous support from the people of Naraingarh. They supported me last time when the BJP was talking about the slogan ‘75 paar in Haryana’, and I am confident that the people of Naraingarh will again support me in the election. All sections of society are unhappy with the policies of the BJP and after the forming the government, the Congress will address the pending issues of farmers, unemployed youth, employees and other people.”

“Earlier, my husband has served the people of this constituency and ensured development of this area, and we will continue to work for Naraingarh. The district status for Naraingarh has been a long-pending demand and we will try to get it fulfilled. Besides this I will try to get a permanent solution for sugarcane farmers who face inconvenience due to Naraingarh Sugar mills”, she added.
