Ashok Arora is locked in a direct contest with Thanesar MLA and BJP candidate Subhash Sudha, who is confident of retaining his seat for the third consecutive time.

Subhash Sudha had defeated Arora on the previous two occasions. The Congress candidate has been holding multiple public meetings in the constituencies and slamming the BJP government for the lack of development projects.

Ashok Arora, said “Subhash Sudha had promised to develop Kurukshetra on the pattern of Pink City, but he failed miserably. A large number of stray cattle can be seen roaming freely in the city areas, and people are getting injured and losing lives due to the stray animals. The sanitary conditions are very poor and Thanesar ranked 20th in the state in Swachh Survekshan-2023. The BJP government has failed to fulfil its promises and due to the wrong policies of the BJP not only the general public but a large number of people from the BJP and other parties are also joining us.”

Arora has been raising the issues of no dues certificate (NDC), family ID, corruption in the municipal council, poor roads and property IDs in his speeches, and adds, “The People of Haryana have been struggling due to the wrong decisions of the BJP government. They have decided to get rid of this government and form a Congress government in Haryana.”

Meanwhile, Thanesar MLA and party candidate Subhash Sudha, is confident of retaining his seat on the basis of the work done, and said, “Over the past 10 years, the BJP government has worked to improve the healthcare facilities, educational institutions, road network and infrastructure. The government has also worked to develop the Jyotisar Tirtha due to which a large number of tourists reach Kurukshetra. We have been getting a tremendous support from the field. People from all sections of society are joining us in large numbers. We are confident that the people of Thanesar will vote for the BJP and form the BJP government.”

Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal is also campaigning for the Thanesar BJP candidate and while addressing a gathering, he said, “The people of Haryana have always elected the government of the party having power at the centre. People of Haryana are aware of the fact that coordination between the Centre and the state government is very important for the smooth development. We have seen the impact of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to make India a developed nation, and to achieve the target we will work together to elect a BJP government for the third-time in Haryana.”
