Congress trying to befool people on false narrative to form govt in Haryana: Khattar
Claiming that the BJP will return to power for the third time in a row in Haryana, Union Minister and former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said the Congress has been trying to misguide people by launching a false narrative that they were set to form the next government in the state.
Addressing a gathering in Patel Nagar in Hisar town, Khattar said there were many reasons to bust the claim of the Congress.
“The Congress has tried to tie up with some parties including AAP. If they were confident, why they were trying to forge alliances. It means they were not sure”, he said.
The Union Minister said though the BJP has declared its face in Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Congress could not
declare its leader.
“Inside the Congress, a tussle has started as there were speculations that both 'bapu-beta' were aspiring for the top post,” he said while referring to former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his son Deepender Hooda.
He also took a dig at the Congress while referring to Kumari Selja’s silence for many days.
Khattar also claimed that Haryana has always gone in favour of the party which remained in power at Centre except for two
years (1987-89).
“People have got rid of the corrupt government of the Congress. Earlier, there were rates for every government job in Haryana during the Congress regime. But now there are no parchi and kharchi,” he added.
