The rare conjoined twin girls, who shared the same heart, breathed their last at their home in Ambala on Sunday.

The girls were born at the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment on Thursday night and as per the family, they breathed their last around 2 am on Sunday. They were buried in the cremation ground here in Ambala Cantonment.

The conjoined twins were born to a labourer couple, a resident of Ghasitpur area, who hail from Samastipur in Bihar. The family had named them Luxmi.

Chunchun Sada, father of the twins, said, “They were doing fine and having milk with the help of a dropper till the evening. Their condition deteriorated around 2 am and they collapsed all of a sudden.”
