Consensus on 33 points at CMP meeting

Home Minister Anil Vij said here today that the BJP and the JJP had agreed in principle on 33 points mentioned in their respective manifestos.

An announcement to this effect would be made bringing them to the notice of CM Manohar Lal Khattar and his deputy Dushyant Chautala. Vij was presiding over the second meeting of the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) implementation committee.

Vij said both the parties were keen to upgrade the living standards of the people across the state and with that end in mind, the manifestos of both parties were being considered intensively. He said a detailed discussion of financial and legal aspects of poll time promises of both parties was held and officers were asked to look into them.

Vij said consensus would be reached in the next two-three meets and a draft will be made to implement CMP. —TNS
