A Head Constable posted at Dabua police station in Faridabad was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
The accused, Anil Kumar, allegedly demanded money from Dharmender, a local resident, for helping secure bail in an assault case. Sources said Dharmender had already given Kumar Rs 2,000 as an initial payment. However, when the policeman demanded an additional Rs 5,000, the complainant reported the matter to the ACB. The ACB laid a trap and apprehended Kumar after he accepted the bribe from Dharmender.
