The district police and paramilitary forces conducted flag marches in the Ellenabad and Kalanwali areas. The purpose of these marches was to assure the public of a fair and fear-free election environment and to encourage cooperative and peaceful voting on October 1.

The flag march in Ellenabad covered main markets and surrounding areas. SP Vikrant Bhushan said ensuring a free and fair election was their priority.

He noted that during the march, the public was told to vote confidently and report any attempts to influence voting or other illegal activities.

In Kalanwali, Deputy Superintendent Rajeev Kumar and Sub-Inspector Ramphal led a similar march, covering various villages and towns, including Dera Jagmalwali, Kalanwali bus stand and Gadarana. SBhushan called on the public to stay vigilant and report any illegal activities or drug sales to the police.

Both marches aimed at maintaining security and foster a sense of community. The police have also increased vigilance at sensitive polling stations and along the borders with Punjab and Rajasthan.
