Cops turn saviours, rescue 4 from burning car in Gurugram

The traffic police personnel managed to rescue four people stuck in a car that had caught fire at the Hero Honda Chowk flyover on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident took place around 2:50 pm when Sunil Kumar, a resident of Sikanderpur Ghosi, was on the way to his home with wife and two children in his car. While they were crossing the flyover, the car suddenly caught fire.

SI Ved Prakash, the zonal traffic officer, who was on duty along with constable Rinku, reached the spot, and got all four occupants out of the vehicle. In the meantime, a team of the fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire. “The officials have saved the lives of all four of them. After bringing the fire under control, the damaged car was removed from the road with the help of a crane so that other commuters were not inconvenienced,” said a police spokesperson.
