Couple held hostage by miscreants in Karnal, robbed of valuables worth lakhs
In a shocking incident in Geeta Colony here, a group of six to seven armed miscreants stormed into a house on the intervening night of January 6 and 7, and held the couple hostage with sharp-edged weapons, robbing them of valuables worth lakhs before fleeing the scene. The brazen robbery has left the family in fear, with residents in the neighbourhood equally shaken.
The victim, Sandeep Goyal (50), said the incident occurred while he and his wife were at home.

They tied and blindfolded both me and my wife. Two persons remained outside, one on the roof, while the remaining stole valuables worth lakhs,” said Sandeep.
They ransacked the house, and looted around 40 g gold and cash. They also threatened them before leaving, he added.
