A woman accused of drug trafficking in Sirsa used fake documents to secure bail, leading to legal action against her and her guarantor. The Special NDPS Fast-Track Court discovered the fraud and ordered the Civil Lines police to file an FIR against both women.

In 2023, the Dabwali police arrested Sangeeta Rani under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. To get out of jail, Sangeeta filed a bail petition. On September 25, 2023, the court granted her bail on a bond of Rs 1,00,000.

Sangeeta presented her bail bond on September 27, with Krishna from Muktsa as her guarantor. Krishna submitted details of her 9 marla land, valued at Rs 2,22,300. Based on this, the court released Sangeeta on bail.

However, the court sought verification from Muktsar’s revenue officers. Their report revealed that the land’s valuation was incorrect and the documents were fake. The court ordered the police to register a case of fraud and forgery against both the women.
