Covid cases are on the rise in the city with two deaths in the past three days. Eight societies are on high risk and have been declared containment zones. The death toll in the district has now risen to 927.
The district administration on Friday declared eight containment zones under four urban primary health centres (UPHC) of Tigra, Chanderlok, Bhangrola and Ghata.
In these containment zones lie three floors of Orchid Petal society, sector 49, two floors of Hibiscus apartment, sector 50, Ridgewood Estate, DLF phase-4, two floors of Sushant Lok-1, fifth floor of Gurgaon one society, sector 84, Tower B of Anantraj society, sector 91, one villa of Palm Spring, sector 54, and a flat of Iero grand society, sector 58.
The Health Department also identified 15 new cases today. The total number of infected patients increased to 1,80,982. Today, 21 patients recovered. The number of active patients in the district is 97 now. As many as 91 patients are in home isolation and six under treatment in hospitals. —OC
