Karnal, March 26

The district administration today sealed a private school in Ranwar village allegedly for violation of the Covid protocol. The administration also recommended action against the school under Section 188 of the IPC and Disaster Management Act 2005.

On the directions of DC Nishant Kumar Yadav, District Horticulture Officer Dr Madan Lal was appointed as the Duty Magistrate, who inspected the school recently and found that the Covid-19 protocol was not being followed at Greenwood Public School, which could be dangerous to the lives of students.

After the report of the Duty Magistrate, the DC issued an order to SDM Karnal Ayush Sinha to seal the school. School authorities could not be contacted despite several attempts. — TNS
